Emrakul has protection from colored spells, not colored creatures. A creature is only a spell from the time you cast it until it hits the battlefield. Once on the battlefield it is no longer a spell. Path to exile cannot remove Emrakul from the game because it targets Emrakul while it is a spell, but Oblivion ring can because Oblivion ring doesn't target Emrakul until it is a permanent (a resolved spell) on the battlefield.
